Partnering with a Fruit Supplier - in reducing the cost of their electricity.

Holistic Energy Solutions is partnering with Lucerne Pack – at their state-of-the-art Fruit Packing Operations in Robertson. HES is assisting them understanding and managing their electricity consumption – and planning and expediting actions with them to reduce the cost of electricity.

We carried out an Energy Management Due Diligence in three sequential phases:

Measuring and Monitoring.
- Understanding the Operations electricity consumption profile – including the baseline consumption and the Maximum Demand Peak.
- Verifying that the electricity bills are correct.
- Identifying the main drivers of the electricity usage.
Finding, scoping, and evaluating electricity reduction opportunities
- Putting together a list of actions that can be taken to reduce their electricity usage.
- Calculating the investment cost and Return on Investment of these actions.
- Assessing whether it makes business sense to invest in Solar Energy Systems and designing an appropriate fit-for-purpose system.
Project Managing approved projects on a Turn-key basis.
- Detailed design and tendering of approved projects to the point of contract award.
- Project Managing approved projects to commissioning and hand-over.

Our work is highly appreciated by the Client as we supported them step-by-step in:

mapping consumption,
finding opportunities,
ranking opportunities based on return on effort and investment,
planning and executing these plans.

Our approach and work enabled Lucerne Pack to take control and manage the escalating cost of electricity. We are busy execution of these savings opportunities.
